Exeter Resource taps into a great example of how Argentina got its name

There is no doubt about it; we are facing uncertain times. But while things may look bleak for some, others are looking to the future with a positive frame of mind. Many in the industry believe that things will even out for us sometime after the U.S. election and before the end of the first quarter of '09. So in preparation for the good times to come, we are taking a look at the Western U.S., which is home to many exciting projects and plenty of good news.

When it comes to America's western frontier in mining, Nevada, without question, is the leader of the pack. A steady stream of news abounds, some of the latest of which includes impressive results, starting with AuEx Ventures (XAU:TSX). That company has released results it says confirm the presence of high-grade oxide gold mineralization the West Pequop project it 49/51 joint ventures with Agnico Eagle (AEM:TSX) in Elko County. Highs from 11 recent core holes included 12.28 g/t over 12.8 m in 18.8 m of 8.726 g/t beginning at a depth of 70.1 m, and 18.67 g/t over 4.8 m in 7.3 m of 13.936 g/t beginning at a depth of 36.9 m.
